The evaluation typically lasts about one hour. During that time, the therapist will administer standardized tests and observe your child to help determine the needs and plan of care if necessary.

You will need to bring your child’s insurance card and your photo ID along with any pertinent medical documents and a copy of all prior testing.

The frequency and duration of treatment will be determined on an individualized basis after the assessment is completed.

Our goal is to pair each child with a therapist that best suites his or her needs and schedule. After the evaluation we can better determine which therapist your child will work best with. We provide a close working relationship between all the therapists at The Therapy Spot therefore offering coverage in the event that a therapist is out sick.

You can bring other children to the session but they must remain in the waiting room for the entire session. For the safety of your children, we do not allow any children on the equipment without the supervision of our therapists.

Clients are scheduled at the clinic or in private schools located in the Baltimore area. Sessions are scheduled Sunday through Friday, including early morning and evening appointments.
